Winter Olympia Wonderland

What better way to start off a brand new decade than with a lovely dose of the Olympics! I just love The Games, but it is quite interesting watching them from a different country. I always took for granted following every event, tailored to what I am interested in watching, but in France they obviously are spotlighting the French Olympians and their stats. I suddenly have to do extra research to see how MY country is doing! Turns out, pretty well. America is in the lead for medals right now, and I'm very proud.

Michael Phelps wrote the history with his long hand and its really interesting that whenever Phelps dive into the water he came out with gold. Now Michael is the most successful Olympic player of all time. Michael Phelps set the records which are impossible to break but however this whole world is with full of talents and devotion who knows we will soon see one more olympic player with more gold on his neck.

Sushil Kumar Won the Bronze Medal

Sushil Kumar, Indian wrestler won the Bronze medal in 66Kg freestyle. This is the second individual medal for India after Bindra. Sushil Kumar beat Leonid Spiridonov of Kazakhstan.

Jitender Kumar reached in Quarter Final

Jitender Kumar of India beat Tulashboy Doniyorov of Uzbekistan by 13-6 and entered into Quarter final. Jitender Kumar, Akhil Kumar and Vijender Kumar are keeping the hope of medals for India in Beijing 2008 Olympic.

Jitender Kumar was in aggressive mode from the very first round and take the lead to create the pressure on his opponent. In first round Jitender Kumar Scored 4 crucial points while his opponents managed only 1 point.

Jitender Kumar through to quarter final with ease in his first fight Memis of Turkey retired and in the second fight he won the fight in third round and in his last fight also he won the fight with double margin.

Today another match was also crucial between Vijender Kumar and Angkhan Chomphuphuang of Thailand

Mark Spitz - King of Water

If today everyone is talking about Michael Fred Phelps than just because of Mark Spitz whose 36 years record broke today. Mark Spitz a legend and under 50 top greatest athelets of the world at 33rd rank by ESPN in 1999.

Mark Spitz retired at the very young age i.e., only 22 years of age and also give a try to come back to the olympic in 1992 Barcelona olympic when he was 41 years of age. Reason behind this try was Bud Greenspan who offered Mark Spitz million dollar if he qualify for the olympic. He failed to qualify but however his records was better than his past records.

Players who can give us the honour of medals

Abhinav really gave us a hope of medals and now we have many players who can bring more medal for our country. I really disappointed by the performance of Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, as he was silver medalist in last olympic and expectation was on him as usual but he is not qualify.

I am really surprised that people want to know about Olympic updates but they do not have so excitement which we can see while Cricket world cup or twenty 20 match is going on. I hope things will change and people will relise what is the value of a medal which bring to home after beating all the participants from all around the world ...

Golden Boy - Abhinav Bindra

Abhinav Bindra a Libran (28th September, 1982) from Punjab. First ever Indian who won the Gold Medal for the country. This Gold medal is also important as India won it after long 28 years. In 1980 India won the gold medal in the man’s hockey at Moscow Olympic.

MBA (Master in Business Administration) degree holder and CEO of his Abhinav Futuristic (A computer game distributor company). Awards and recognition is not new for Abhinav Bindra he won Arjuna Award in 2001 and Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award in 2001 – 2002.

Abhinav was youngest Participant in 2000 Olympic Games. He also won the Gold Medal in 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester.

Abhinav Bindra won the gold medal

Good news for all Indian fans. Abhinav Bindra won the gold medal in 10-meter air rifle.

Bindra finished with 700.5 points, edging out Zhu who had 699.7 points for the silver. Zhu won the gold medal in 2004. Hakkinen got the bronze with 699.4.

Zhu’s second place finish gives the Chinese three medals in the shooting competition after Guo Wenjun won the women’s 10-meter air pistol and Pang Wei took the men’s.
