Dhoni played captain knock and seamer helped him

Photo Courtsey : Cricinfo.com

S
o finally Indian team show better performance than Sri Lankan team and beat them in on going India vs Sri Lanka series in third one day by 33 runs. India had bad start once again but thanks to the partership of Raina (scored 53 off 80 balls, 4 Fours and 1 six) and Dhoni (scored 76 off 80 balls, 8 Fours) who gave India a good run on the board first time in on going India vs Sri Lanka series. After Raina got out Rohit Sharma (scored 32 off 32 balls, 3 Fours) give the solid company to Dhoni.

When Sri Lankan team land to the crease they were in trouble from the very begining and lost their 7 wickets at the score of 94 only. Thanks to the captain knock because of which they have reached some respectable score, otherwise some time there were chances that they will lost the match by 3 figures.

Whatever may be the margin but the good thing of this win is that Indian players got their confidence back and when Captain is leading from the front than its really morale boost for the players. But however bad form of Gautam and Yuvraj is really point of tension for the team

Player of the match was M S Dhoni for his responsible 76 runs.

India won the second ODI - If you call it a win

India won the second ODI in India Vs Sri Lanka series. But do you think that this is really a win, if Sri Lanka manage to add more 20 runs on the board than I am sure India would loss this match as well.

Particularly in this series Indian team are looking like as scattered with no team work no planning and no confident body movement. Indian batsmen are dancing on the tune of Sri Lankan bowlers.

Thanks to Zaheer who picked the early wickets and for batting thanks to Virat who added some runs so that later order batsmen wont feel the heat.

As per Sri Lankan skipper Jayawardene "We were just one wicket away from making inroads into their tail but the partnership between Dhoni and Badrinath took the game away from us. The 60 runs they put together was the difference, they batted really well. In a situation like that you can't do too many things. You have to stop the runs and attack as well, but it didn't work for us today."

Sri Lankans put only 142 runs on the board and they gave India a tough fight. Badrinath really show the character and was calm in crunch situation and took the India to the victory.

Anju Bobby George - Another dream broken

Anju Bobby George failed to qualify for the final and once again another dream shattered and broken. She was also one of the most strong contender for the medal but she ended with three foul jump.

I know this is really disappointed for her as athelet's professional life is very short and new players always ready to give tough competition.

Our expectation is going down one after another and we are not able to do anything ... Its really surprising that when India won the Twenty 20 world cup we saw some beautiful sky crackers and people celebrating on their terrace but when Bindra won the first ever Individual gold medal there were no crackers no party not congratulating each other.

Now we have to change our mind set and think about it. Americans are crazy about baseball, basketball and American Football but inspite of that they are leaving their marks which are impossible to remove.

Indian governement and Indian Olympic Association should think about it ...
