sergio Canales hails Real Madrid as the best team in the world

Real Madrid midfielder Sergio Canales has hailed his team as the best in the world and hopes that his side can beat Racing Santander at the El Sardinero in the Spanish Primera Liga this weekend to close the gap on leaders Barcelona.
The midfielder featured in Madrid’s 7-0 thrashing at home against Malaga and replaced Mesut Ozil at the hour mark. He said that he will fight to take his chances and payback the club with his performances. The Spaniard believed that he will have to work harder in order to play more for the first team.

“I played again tonight and I always felt the support of the crowd. I try to do my best to pay them back. This is the best team in the world and I fight to play,” said the 20-year-old in an interview to the Club’s official website.
The midfielder will face his former club Racing Santander this weekend in the Spanish La Liga. He claimed that it would be ‘beautiful’ to face his old club in Santander and that it would be a difficult game for the Los Blancos.

Canales said that he only thinks about winning and getting all three points from every game and hopes that Madrid win all the remaining matches in the League.
“It will be a difficult game and we hope to take three points. I only think about winning all of our remaining encounters,” Canales was quoted as saying.
Sergio Canales joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2010 from Racing Santander for a fee of 4.5 million Euros. The midfielder signed a six-year deal with the Madrid giants that will keep him at the club until 2016.

The Spaniard has since made 10 appearances for the club and has one assist to his name.
He won the UEFA European Football Championship in Turkey with the Spain Under-17 team in 2008 and is also a prominent part of his country’s Under-21 side.
Real Madrid are second in the Spanish League standings with 64 points and are 7 behind Barcelona.
