Ashok Mankad (12.10.1946 - 01.08.2008), former Indian test batsman died. He was 62 years of age and played for India in 62 tests with the score of 991 runs.Ashok Mankad was selected to played against New Zealand in 1969 - 70 but in that series he dropped and later on selected for the series against Australia which was a successful series for him.
Ashok Mankad was the son of Vinoo Mankad who also played for India.
