London, England (Sporting Alert) — Second-placed Arsenal will host the struggling Sunderland in the Barclay’s Premier League on Saturday.

Arsene Wenger’s side is currently four points behind leaders Manchester United and can cut the gap to one point with a win against the Black Cats, which have four straight league defeats heading into the contest

The Black Cats have slipped to 8th in the Barclays Premier League with their last win coming against Blackpool on January 22. They last won in the league in mid-January at Blackpool.

Arsenal in the meantime, are undefeated in their last 10 league games, but have only beaten Sunderland once in meetings between the two side in the last five.

Steve Bruce’s team is without several key players, but the manager is hoping on-loan striker Danny Welbeck will be fit enough for Saturday’s clash as Sunderland go in search of its first league win at Arsenal since 1983.

Missing the game for Sunderland will be Fraizer Campbell, David Meyler, Michael Turner all out with knee problems, while Bolo Zenden (calf), Lee Cattermole (back) and Nedum Onuoha (calf) will also sit things out.

The Gunners have been hard hit as well with skipper and midfield ace Cesc Fabregas (hamstring), winger Theo Walcott (ankle) and Dutch striker Robin Van Persie (knee) all ruled out.

Alex Song (knee), Thomas Vermaelen (Achilles), Emmanuel Frimpong (knee) and Lukasz Fabianski (shoulder) are also out of the contest.
