World Cup After Party - p1

It is good to be back in New York!

As I walked around the city Sunday I was amazed at just how many people were watching the World Cup in big crowds at restaurants and bars. I don't even see crowds like this for a Yankees World Series game (MLB should learn to put World Series games on in the day).

Of course, because it was France vs Italy instead of rioting after the victory, a huge fashion show broke out downtown in Nolita - I just happened to walk right into the middle of it.

Traveling to Milan and Paris it has helped me see New York in a different way and see what we do well. We do ironic well, we do vintage well, and we do "so-bad-it-is-good" well. All of these qualities were on full display yesterday on Spring Street.
