"Bendtner could start for Arsenal"
Nicolas Bendtner will get his chance to prove his quality against Braga in their UEFA Champions League clash.
After the Danish striker's outburst about not playing regularly, Wenger had left him out of the first team for an unofficial seven-day suspension, according to reports in the Sun.
The striker had revealed his frustrations in SunSport, after returning from a groin problem and finding his place taken by newly-signed Marouane Chamakh.
However, with Robin van Persie left at home and Chamakh needing a rest, Wenger will now give Bendtner a chance to shine.
Wenger said: "Nicklas is sometimes a bit outspoken. He is a guy who is honest and genuine.
"I will wait in the morning to pick the team but Chamakh has played a lot of games."
Captain Cesc Fabregas could be left on the bench as he is still suffering from a hamstring niggle.
Wenger added: "He's been out for a while, had a recurrence and then it can get into your head."
Arsenal will only need to leave Portugal unbeaten in order to qualify for the round-of-16 in the Champions League.
